Description
Waking up before the sun has its payoffs, especially when you know it's going to be a foggy morning.
Shortly before the sun made its appearance, a heavy fog sat atop the marsh at Mer Bleue Bog in Ottawa's east end. The water was incredibly still and acted as a perfect mirror. The photo is not a double exposure, the fog is giving an optical illusion where the long grass is focused in the foreground and in the background obscured by fog and depth of field are a forest of trees.
Only the light sounds of marsh birds could be heard, otherwise any little movement in the water was amplified to the nearly dead silence of being the only human soul around.
